National Parks
Cabo de Gata-Níjar: The Cabo de Gata-Níjar national natural park, about 100 miles south along the coast from Cabo Roig, is a unique site on the Mediterranean. Red mountains, formed by underwater volcanoes around ten million years ago, run parallel to the coast for 40 miles, concealing white sandy beaches and isolated coves. Footpaths hug the shore, then dart inland to take in gorges filled with dwarf fan palms. This natural paradise has just a couple of roads which lead to whitewashed fishing villages – the largest of which is San José, which has a beautiful harbour and great fish restaurants. The beaches along the coast from San José are some of the best in the country.
Calblanque Park: The wild and beautiful Regional Park of Calblanque is a national nature park and one of the Costa Blanca's best-kept secrets. It has thirteen kilometres of golden beaches, fossilized dunes, dozens of tiny coves and is covered by a network of walking routes and biking trails. From Cabo Roig it is a short drive along the coast to get there. From Cabo Roig drive towards La Manga via the motorway "Alicante - El Algar - La Manga" and take "Los Belones" exit.
Beaches
The local beaches are clean and safe with fabulous golden soft sand, beach café/bars, climbing frames, volleyball nets and children’s play equipment. The sea is warm and safe. Cabo Roig beach is about 15-minute walk or 5 minutes drive. The blue flag beaches of La Zenia and Playa Flamenca are also only a 5-minute drive away. The Blue Flag beaches running down the coast have endless pretty coves with golden sand and are only a short drive away.
Swimming Pool
The house is located immediately next to the swimming pool which is one of the largest in the area. The pool is in a landscaped area with palm trees, flowering shrubs and of course bougainvillea. The pool is cleaned and the gardens tended every day providing the perfect place to swim, sunbathe or just sit and relax.
